Formal
tryouts for the 2008/9 seasonal year have concluded. However, teams that need to add
players can do so at any time. All player applications must be
approved by the Americans Soccer Club before a player can join a
team. When a team's coach invites an approved player to join the
team, and the player accepts, both the team and the player are bound
to that commitment for the remainder of the soccer year. (See
player / Parent Agreement)

Recruiting to induce or attempt to
induce a rostered player of any other team to leave the player's
present team and play for the Americans during the current seasonal
year, constitutes poaching and is strictly forbidden. Poaching does
not apply to inducing players to play for a team in the following
seasonal year. Penalties for poaching may include suspension up to
one year and a fine up to $500. Once a player has been carded with
an Americans team, another Americans team may not card the same
player in subsequent seasons, except when a transfer to permanently
play up with the player’s grade, has been approved by the Board.

following are required for teams playing in NCSA:
